Serious Games

May 17th, 2008

Serious Games have other goals besides ‘just’ entertainment. Actually, I refer to this concept as  ”Game Based Learning” because sometimes certain projects teach indirectly and may not appear “serious”, but still are effective learning tools. These highly interactive games can be used to train, educate and inform. They are like simulations, with built-in gameplay and challenges.   I use a team based approach to develop Serious Games. As a New Media Professor at the College of Design, over the years I’ve developed an extensive list of top shelf student designers and developers. They are now professionals.

As a product of the pipeline I also develop Serious Media, like game specific 3D models. These digital assets are imported into our choosen game engine, the Unity3D game environment. These assets include low polygon game specific models, characters with animation, props, textures, and animations.

Contact me to discuss options and get a ball park figure on your project.
